Privacy Policy for Bible Clock App

Information Collection and Use

Personal Information: The App does not directly collect any personally identifiable information from its users.

Usage Data: The App may collect certain non-personal usage data, such as device information (including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers), usage statistics, and interactions with the App for the purpose of improving user experience and app functionality.

Use of Information

The non-personal information collected is utilized to:

  • Enhance and optimize the App’s performance and user experience.
  • Analyze trends and usage patterns to improve features and services.
  • Maintain and improve the security of the App.

Google Photos Integration

Bible Clock offers an optional Google Photos integration that allows you to use your personal photos as background images. This section explains how this feature works and how your data is handled.

What Data We Access:

  • When you choose to use Google Photos, the app uses the Google Photos Picker API (photospicker.mediaitems.readonly scope).
  • The Picker allows you to select specific photos from your library to use as backgrounds in the app.
  • The app can only access the photos you explicitly select through the Picker—we cannot browse or access your entire photo library.
  • We do not access, modify, or delete any photos in your Google Photos library.

How Your Data Is Used:

  • Selected photos are downloaded and stored locally on your device only.
  • Photos are used solely to display as background images within the app.
  • No photos or photo metadata are uploaded to any external server.
  • No photo data is shared with any third parties.

Authentication and Security:

  • Google authentication is managed securely through Google Sign-In SDK and Firebase Authentication.
  • Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
  • You can sign out at any time from within the app, which clears your Google session.
  • You can revoke the app’s access to your Google Photos at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance: Bible Clock’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

Third-Party Services: The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Sign-In: For optional Google account authentication. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase Authentication: For secure session management. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
  • Google Photos Picker API: For selecting photos when you opt in to the Google Photos integration.
  • Analytics services: To collect non-personal usage data for app improvement.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies governing the use of information.

Legal Compliance: Information may be disclosed if required by law or to comply with a legal process.

Data Security

The security of your information is important to us. We employ reasonable measures to protect the information collected from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
